[UPDATED] Common Entrance Exam For Admission into B.Sc Nursing And D.Pharm Cources in Assam 2016:

Common Entrance Examination for selection of candidates for admission into 1st year B.Sc. Nursing and 2 (two) years Diploma in Pharmacy courses in the institutes under Director of Medical Education, Assam for the session 2016 will be held on 7 August, 2016.

How to Apply:
Offline Application Form shall be available at Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences  from 8 July 2016 to 16 July, 2016. The offline application form must be filled up after carefully going through the instructions given along with it. So, interested candidates are advised to submit the form within this stipulated period only. 

Fees For The Entrance:
A nonrefundable fee of 1000/- along with a bank charge is required to be paid at any branch of State Bank of India after submission of the Offline Application Form and taking a printout of the Challan generated online after successful submission. State Bank of India will accept only this Challan for collecting the Examination Fee. Therefore, applicants must carry this Challan copy to the Bank for submission of the Fees.

Eligibity Criteria to admission into 1 st year B.Sc. Nursing Course in the B.Sc. Nursing College, Dibrugarh/ B.Sc. Nursing College, Silchar and Regional College of Nursing, Guwahati :
The candidate must be female and must have passed Higher Secondary (10 + 2) or Equivalent Examination in Science Stream from a recognized Board/Council/University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category shall be eligible if obtains at least 40% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the abovementioned examination. Must be a citizen of India. Must be a Permanent Resident of Assam. This will not be applicable for Daughter/Wife of employees of the Govt. of Assam. Age: She must be within 17 to 24 years of age . Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 (three) years for SC/ST candidates.
Details of the Entrance Examination including eligibility criteria and requirements shall be available at the University website, www.ssuhs.in .

Entrance Exam:

1. The Entrance Examination will be held  at Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat and Barpeta for both B.Sc. Nursing and D. Pharm courses which will be conducted by Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences. 

2. The Examination shall be on 150 marks. 

3. There will be total 50 questions for each subject of 1 mark for each question. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. 

4. There will be 3 (three) papers as shown below : 
  1. Paper-1 - Physics and Chemistry - 10AM to 12 Noon 
  2. Paper-2 - Biology - 1PM to 2 PM 
  3. Paper-3 - Mathematics - 3PM to 4PM 
5. The question papers shall be of 10 + 2 standard and shall consist of 100 questions in the 1st Paper, 50 questions in the 2nd Paper and 50 questions in the 3 rd Paper. 

6. A candidate willing to appear for B.Sc. Nursing Course shall have to appear in the 1st Paper and 2 nd Paper. A candidate willing to appear for D. Pharm Course must appear 1st Paper and either 2 nd or 3rd Paper. However, if a candidate for D. Pharm course wants to appear both the 2nd and 3 rd Paper he/she shall be allowed to do so, but for counting marks for merit position the higher mark between the 2nd and 3rd Paper shall be taken into account. 

7. A candidate may apply for both the B.Sc. Nursing and D. Pharm Examination in the same arrangement and in single examination fee.

Admit Card: Admit Cards will be available  from 4 August, 2016  .
